Our Castle Rock Dentist

Dr. Preston Polson, of Meadows Family Dentistry, has been practicing dentistry for 16 years! He grew up in Castle Rock, CO, the same location where he currently practices dentistry. The small, rural community of Douglas County provided Dr. Polson with principles and values that he believes can’t be found anywhere else! In the Better Living magazine article titled “What Happened to Preston Polson,” Dr. Polson stated, “[Douglas County provided]… valued education, hard work, dedicated family, life-long friends, and small town living.”

After attending elementary school, junior high, and high school in Sedalia and Castle Rock, Dr. Polson graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 1999 and began a General Practice hospital based residency in Burlington, Vermont. Of his time in Vermont, Dr. Polson said, “the residency taught me how medicine and dentistry inter- face. Not only did I work in a hospital clinic providing care for medically complex patients, but the program included rotations in anesthesiology, emergency medicine, oral surgery and the operating room.”

Dr. Polson is proud to offer comprehensive sedation dentistry. This practice helps to ease fear and anxiety his patients may experience about their procedures, and patient comfort is something that is very important to Dr. Polson! In his own words, Dr. Polson states, “sedation dentistry opens the doors to many individuals that have a debilitating fear of the dentist. It allows them to receive the proper care they have wanted to do but could get past that first hurdle. Sedation density can be done for simple cleanings and fillings to complex dental rehabilitation or cosmetic work. Complementing sedation dentistry we can provide treatment for extractions, root canal therapy, crowns, bridges, cosmetic veneers and in-office whitening.” In this way, Dr. Polson makes sure he can provide all of the incredible services he offers to everyone who needs them – without allowing fear and anxiety to get in their way!

In addition to his own practice, Dr. Polson has also provided dental service in an international humanitarian setting. For 12 years, Dr. Polson has participated in the program titled “Give Kids A Smile,” which offers free dental services to children in need. These service efforts have sent Dr. Polson to Guatemala and Mexico several times. He has thoroughly enjoyed these humanitarian efforts and found them to be incredibly rewarding.
