Signs That You Need To Replace Your Dentures

Middle aged couple smilingContrary to popular belief, your dentures won’t last for life. In fact, your dentures should ideally be replaced every 5-10 years. This is for a number of reasons including wear and tear on the dentures and the way your face and jaw shape will change over time.

Signs That You Need New Dentures

Below are a few symptoms that may indicate it’s time to replace your dentures:

  • Unexplained neck pain, ear aches, or headaches
  • A sudden difficulty when trying to speak or eat
  • Irritated or sore gum tissue
  • Dentures that are beginning to loosen or fall out frequently
  • Discoloration of the dentures or if they begin to smell

At Meadows Family Dentistry, your comfort and confidence are important to us. You can feel comfortable or confident in your smile if your dentures no longer fit properly.

If you’re experiencing any of the above symptoms or if you feel that it’s time for new dentures, please contact Meadows Family Dentistry here in Castle Rock, Colorado.
